Tema T1 For Businesses

Participe en T1 for Businesses relacionada con carreras técnicas.

T1 is proving to be an increasingly popular digital tools for businesses which require constant and strong connection between employees and customers. Running stably at the speed of 1.544 Mbp, data can be travelled in two ways. For household use, this service is too high while for businesses, it is worth the cost.

The T1 line speed comes in a variety of different manners. It was developed by Bell Labs for use into North America and Japan. Originally, a T1 line was made from copper, but it has been created using fiber optics, which offer unprecedented speed for telephone lines. T1 connections are also able to bypass traditional means of connection, the telephone lines, and instead connect straight to a business.

There are several variations in the T1 service, each one offering options as to how one would like their information handled.

Integrated T1’s: Of the 24 digitalized phone line voice channels available, you can choose which ones are used for the telephone (voice) and which are used for data (internet).

Fractional T1’s: Uses less of the total bandwidth available to form a percentage of the full rate.

Burstable T1’s: With the ability to get more bandwidth during traffic spikes, this method gives one a set bandwidth at all times, and is only paid for when you need it.

Bonded T1’s: This combines several T1 connections to boost the speed and performance.

T1 lines carry up to sixty times more information than a traditional modem, which shoots phenomenally the higher the system chosen. For example, T3 (which is 28 T1s put together) supports up to approx. 45 Mbps, which beats most internet connections into the ground. A more advanced one, OC3 (84 T1s) goes up to 155 Mbps, again offering amazing performance which are necessary for larger companies.

So, if a company requires an internet connection for hundreds of users to utilize without the internet collapsing under the sheer pressure, then T1 is the way to go as it provides unequaled performance in the workplace, which means no downtime which in turn results in higher profits. This is how T1 connections, and the much higher performance options, are justified for a workplace, but still, it is really not an option for home. In the future, there will likely be better alternatives, offering even higher and unparalleled performance, but for now T1 Speed is satisfactory.

CARRERAS TéCNICAS, Cita textual de Don’t Forget PPC categorizada en nuestra sección de carreras técnicas para lectura de nuestros nuevos y antiguos lectores.

Building traffic is one of the most important challenges an internet entrepreneur faces. Using the big toolbox of Web 2.0 technology, web marketers have a wide range of options when promoting their websites and blogs. But one often overlooked technique is Pay Per Click (PPC) advertising. One reason that some internet entrepreneurs eschew this technique should be obvious-there’s a cost involved. The reality is, however that in order to make money online, you also need to spend some. And a well crafted-and well managed-PPC campaign can minimize the out of pocket expense, while maximizing returns.

With that in mind, there are some pitfalls to PPC advertising as well. Without proper planning, the campaign can get out of hand-and very costly-very quickly. PPC advertising requires constant monitoring and management in order to contain costs and maximize the return on investment (ROI) from the program. Step one-and arguably the most important step-is to become a student of PPC advertising. There are a lot of available resources, and many of them are free. But it would be wise to clearly understand what you are about to undertake, before you actually begin spending money.

And although patience is not necessary a predominant virtue of professional internet marketers, a PPC campaign needs some time to bear fruit. You can’t expect to launch the program Monday morning and see results Monday night. It’s also rumored that Google gives you a little internal boost once they have a comfort level with you. Although the workings of the Great Google Monster are a little fuzzy, let it be known that if they like you, it’s a good thing. And that too will take time.

As with any direct marketing effort, a rule of thumb is to test, test, test and then test some more. Split testing-sometimes referred to as A/B testing-is the preferred method of savvy internet marketers. When split testing, it’s also imperative to make sure you are using test groups that are big enough to give valid data.

Make sure you research the AdWords that you plan to use, by using a research tool intended specifically for that purpose. It’s also important to use negative keywords as well. Again, if all of this sounds like Greek to you right now, it’s probably time to start studying the tricks and techniques of PPC advertising.

T-90 Russian Tank

Tema T-90 Russian Tank

Participe en T-90 Russian Tank relacionada con carreras técnicas.

After the break of Soviet Union Russia was left alone to defend itself. A newly designed tank built by Uralvagonzavod in Nizhny Tagil was T-90.

All are familiar with its well-known ancestor T-72 which was a starting build-off point for the new T-90 which became a Russian main battle tank in 1995.

In 1992 Russian Defense Ministry demanded a new tank to exchange expensive but more quality T-80 and cheaper but older T-72. Bothwere built at different plants which meant bigger costs.

Many models of T-90 were built for different purposes.

T-90 is standing for an original production model, T-90K and T-90SK were a command version of T-90, T-90E and T-90S were made for export, T-90A army version with welded turret.

They came in four variations for different purposes and demands.

BREM-72 as an armored recovery vehicle, MTU-90 was a bridge layer tank, IMR-3 as combat engineer vehicle and BMR-3 as mine clearing vehicle.

Armament:

The 2A46M 125mm smoothbore gun was T-90’s main armament. This gun was also used in older T-80 tanks. It is capable of firing different missiles for different purposes: armor piercing discarding sabot, high explosive anti tank missiles, high explosive ammunition and 9M119M Refleks anti tank guided missiles which operate with a semi automatic laser beam and hollow charge HEAT warhead. Being effective in ranges up to six kilometers it can take out almost any armor. Even helicopters cannot escape its fire power, with Korn 12.7mm anti-aircraft machine gun it can take out any low flying aircraft or helicopter.

T-90 is operated by crew of three people (commander, gunner and driver). It uses an automatic missile loader which removes the need for a manual loader. Automatic loader can load a round every 4-5 seconds and it can carry up to 22 ready to fire missiles.

T-90 can operate during the day or night by using night sighting system mounted at commanders station which allows him to operate the tank at night. It also uses the ESSA thermal imaging sight which allows commander to engage in action at a range from 5km to 8km.

T-90 is protected by a mixture of modern armor: steel armor plating, explosive reactive armor Kontakt-5 and composite armor. Explosive reactive armor is also placed on the top of the tank to defend itself from air attacks. When using Kontakt-5 the T-90 is very tricky to penetrate. No RPG, anti tank guided missile or KE (kinetic energy) penetrator can harm T-90.

One of the main improvements in Russian tanks is a Shtora-1 suite which includes two infrared jammers, four laser warning receivers, two aerosol grenade discharging systems and new control system. It warns the commander if the tank has been locked-on by a weapon- guidance system.

Specifications:

Weight: 46.5 tones

Length: 9.53 m (31.27 ft)

Width: 3.78 m (9.12 ft)

Height: 2.22 m (7.28 ft)

When Racism Isn’t

Tema When Racism Isn’t

Consulte sobre When Racism Isn’t relacionada con carreras técnicas.

The word “racism” seems to be bandied about with such frequency in America that it’s as if at least every third word emanating from some communities is either the charge of racism or the epithet, racist. I think that since it’s almost as commonplace as the use of the N-word in rap lyrics and since it’s so often misused, racism should be banished like the N-word has been from the American lexicon, even in rap lyrics.

To my knowledge, no other word but that N-word has ever been deemed so repulsive that it was considered necessary to forbid its use, under penalty of law in some jurisdictions, and dispatched to the depths of a new Dantesque circle of Hell.

Granted, the N-word isn’t a very pleasant word, but nor are flatulence, vomit, and thousands of other English words. The terms “AOL” and “politics” are almost equivalently unpleasant to millions of people, to students the initials “SAT’s” can evoke tremors of disgust and trepidation, and to the Irish the word “British” can have comparable effects.

The preceding excursion into reductio ad absurdam is meant to accent the absurdity of the overreaction to the N-word and to emphasize the overuse and selective use of the charge of racism in our society. Very often it is applied to crimes committed against Hispanics by Whites which cannot be termed racism since both Whites and (most) Hispanics are Caucasians. If anything, that could be called, “ethnicism.”

As kids, we used to chant, “Sticks and stones can break my bones but names will never harm me,” in a lame response to verbal harassment. Today, the school harasser would be accused of bullying or worse and probably be consigned to detention or sent home on suspension. More absurdity in a nation committed to overreaction to perceived insults. It seems that if one perceives a hurt, real or not, it thereby becomes an honest to goodness, undeniable slur, insult, attack, whatever you wish to call it, whether or not it has any basis in reality.

The banning of the N-word is made conspicuously more ridiculous by virtue of the fact that equally mean-spirited and derogatory ethnic terms which I am allowed to use without fear of legal repercussions are permissible even if not condoned. They certainly do not raise hackles like the use of the N-word does.

While I don’t endorse or advocate the use of any such references in writing or in social discourse, I also don’t endorse or advocate the actions of today’s PC mentality which makes their use tantamount to screaming, “Fire!” in a crowded movie theater when there is no fire and when the results could be catastrophic.

We Americans of Irish descent have gotten over being treated like dirt and being avoided like the plague by “polite” society. We ignored the ubiquitous, dismissive warning signs that “Irish Need Not Apply” which were prevalent in that society even until the middle of the last century. We applied nevertheless and when we were rejected as unfit because of our Irish surnames or because we lived In Irish neighborhoods, we moved on and secured other jobs. Sometimes they were better jobs, sometimes worse, but our forebears knew that complaining was counterproductive so they just worked harder.

We elected an Irish-American president in 1960 and, if we ever had any doubts, Irish Americans forever abandoned any thoughts that we were second class, or permanently steerage class, American citizens. Like George Jefferson, we had moved on up and we have never looked back.

I understand the emotional trauma associated with the N-word which conjures up within the Black community visions of slavery, discrimination, Jim Crow Laws, etc. However, slavery is long gone in our world, except in Black Muslim Sudan and in a rare few other places outside the U.S, and systemic, legalized racism has been legislated out of existence for generations in America. That legislation, literally thousands of federal, state, and local statutes which make racial discrimination criminal acts, was passed by White legislators, hardly testimony to the idea of America as a racist nation.

When Barack Hussein Obama was elected President of the United States last November 4th, millions of Americans assumed that would serve as the final nail in the coffin of alleged or actual racism against Blacks. Forty three percent of White Americans voted for him, which seemed proof positive that Jim Crow was dead and America could finally move on as a racially unified nation.

Unfortunately, that was not to be, mainly because Black Americans effectively voted for racism by almost unaninimously casting their ballots against the White candidate, John McCain. The math is pretty simple: 57% of Whites “voted White” while 95% of Blacks “voted Black.”

Obama’s new Black Attorney General later reinforced the feeling that his administration was far more interested in racial division than in racial healing, in keeping the racial fires burning rather than quenching them.

AG Eric Holder said that he believed America had to go far beyond mere legislated integration and suggested that White Joe Six-Pack should demonstrate his lack of bias in other ways. In effect, Holder said that if Joe didn’t invite Black people to his next family BBQ or golf outing, then Joe was evidently a racist. In addition, adding grave insult to a stupid demand, Holder indicated that if poor Joe didn’t comply, he would be a coward to boot: http://www.genelalor.com/blog1/?p=847.

The latest example of Black racism run amok are the protests against White, Jewish comedian Jackie Mason’s use of the yiddish word, “schwartza,” in reference to Blacks: http://www.popeater.com/movies/article/jackie-mason-racism-charges/383621.

Mason retaliated by contending that white people are more persecuted when it comes to civil rights: “If it’s a racist society, the white people are the ones being persecuted because they have to defend themselves.” He referred to Sharpton and Rev. Jesse Jackson as “professional racists.” I dare not say that that’s a given.

See the above Popeater website for a video of an infuriated Jackie reacting to a Black reporter’s trying to paint him as a racist. Jackie Mason is not only a funny guy but an honest guy, even when he’s furious, although there, for good reason, he lost his cool and his sense of humor.

There is a great deal of racism that still exists in America but it is not White racism directed at Blacks. It is the precise opposite as seen here:

http://www.tmz.com/videos?autoplay=true&mediaKey=b597095e-0596-49ad-b023-9405fd637673. That mass-media-repressed-massacre of Whites by Blacks and other atrocities committed against Whites are virtually ignored by most of the media.

Perhaps if such horrors were accorded equal attention the racial playing field could truly be levelled. As of now, there is a distinct tilt and that tilt fuels the anger in the Black community by making it appear their race is being persecuted while doing nothing wrong.

Even though that particular massacre occurred six years ago, does anyone really think Obama’s election changed the mentality of Black thugs and murderers? If you do, please consult the Reverends Al and Jesse for racist updates.

Except for people of any race who don’t love the United States of America more than any other nation on the planet and except for those who use racism to divide our nation, Americans should love almost everyone. If not love then, in the immortal words of Rodney King, “Can’t we all get along?”

Considering what’s at stake, isn’t Rodney’s suggestion worth a shot?

York T101 Treadmill Review

Tópico York T101 Treadmill Review

Participe en York T101 Treadmill Review relacionada con carreras técnicas.

The York T101 treadmill is a very popular running machine in the UK. There are a few reasons for this. One is that this machine is often available from major high-street stores in the UK at a considerable discount. The other is that the T101 is at the budget end of York range who are a well respected world-wide manufacturer of fitness equipment, so will be an obvious choice for the budget conscience looking to purchase their first running machine.

So what features does the York T101 have? Firstly the motor doesn’t have too much grunt. it is only rated at 1.25 HP with a peak of 2.5 HP when required. This is quite low for a running machine and goes to explain why the top speed of the machine is only 13 KPH, so really this machine is only suitable for walking or light running. Experienced runners will find the top speed limiting. The recommended top weight for a user of this machine is 120 KG, which is another limitation of the smallish motor.

The running deck is a reasonably sized 120cm x 40cm and although a larger person might find using a running deck this size tricky, generally for fast walking speed this is a perfectly good size. One of the main issues that people have when exercising is attempting to keep themselves motivated. The York T101 has nine programs built into it’s computer to help vary your exercise routine. These programs generally increase/decrease the speed of the machine so that you can safely move from a slow walk to a jog. A heart sensor is also built in to the handlebar so you can monitor how well you are working your heart. The T101 has a bottle holder, which seems such a small thing and is unbelievably missing from some machines.

So, in summary the York T101 is a reasonably spec’d running machine for the beginner, but I would suggest that if you shop around you’ll be able to get a better spec’d treadmill, with more features and a better warranty for a few extra pounds. So I’d suggest having a look at the budget end of the ProForm range. Although they may cost a little extra, the ProForm 3.6 for example has more advanced features such as a power incline and a larger motor for getting to a higher top speed when you become more experienced.

The Sony Ericsson T707 doesn’t like to live it’s life hiding in the shadows!

With it’s vibrant colors Lucid Blue, Spring Rose & Mysterious Black, the T707 will capture the attention of anyone – guaranteed. Dazzling and pulsating lights flash and flicker to your favorite tunes and to incoming calls from your mates.

This all sounds quite funky and exciting but is the T707 just a cheap gimmicky phone or does it have some substance hidden beneath the glittery coating ? Well the answer to that is an emphatic yes – it really is a very nice phone to use and play with. It’s pretty light at just 95g and measures just 93 x 50 x 14.1 mm so it’ll pop into your pocket, purse or handbag without weighing you down. It’s also a quad band and 3G enabled phone so you can use it pretty much the world-over without compromise.

The 2.2″ display isn’t going to set the world alight with it’s size or quality but it’s certainly not the worst that you’ll find either. It has a monochrome outer display of 11″ too.

Memory on most half decent mobile phones is now expandable, so it’s no surprise to find that the T707 can be safely “upped” to 16Gb via the microSD slot which is about the industry standard at the moment and certainly enough for most users.

The camera is a little disappointing at just 3.2Mp – 5 megapixels would have been better we think but hey, who are we to moan? It has digital zoom, geo-tagging, picture and video blogging and quite a few other camera features that should produce some pretty good results – but not the best.

Some nice features include gesture control. You can control your T707 without even having to touch it. Gesture control lets you mute incoming calls or you can snooze the alarm simply by sweeping your hand over it – How cool is that?

As with most phones now, you can have set themes but with the T707 you have “day and night”. The Day and Night theme alters the menu in your phone and changes as day turns to night.

The Sony Ericsson T707 is a full on multimedia phone that certainly won’t disappoint you. It’s not the most powerful phone in the world but going by the price, it should sell in some pretty impressive quantities!

The Sony Ericsson T707 is available on all major UK networks and SIM Free at The Order.

Don’t Underplay Yourself

Tema Don’t Underplay Yourself

Consulte sobre Don’t Underplay Yourself relacionada con carreras técnicas.

When a law firm hires me to work with a junior associate, very often one part of the engagement centers of the associate’s leadership presence and self-confidence – how he or she presents to others. (Of course, that focus is not by any means unique to junior associates.) Although reviewers may use a variety of words such as proactive, poised, assertive, or self-assured, they’re usually looking to see to what extent the lawyer is able to present as a leader, as someone who is sufficiently self-confident to inspire others’ confidence. Such a person typically contributes to conversations, asks insightful questions, and is willing to express an opinion or espouse a position.

Interactions with someone who lacks this level of confidence tends to leave others (supervising lawyers and client alike) uncertain of the message being conveyed. Does a lack of contribution indicate lack of comprehension? Boredom? Something else entirely? It may be difficult to interpret what what’s happening, but the result is a lack of clarity and an unwillingness to rely on the lawyer whose self-presentation is found to be lacking. The consequences can be significant, including unduly slow career progression (or even being fired) and difficulty in building client relationships.

For instance, I was working with one client (let’s call him Tom) who was hoping to make partner and entered coaching to strengthen his performance so he’ll be a strong candidate. He’d picked up on some comments that made him question whether he was viewed as partner material. I found Tom to be intelligent, personable, and funny. I also noticed that when I’d ask him a question about his work, he downplayed the role he’d played. It puzzled me, because I could tell from the kind of work he was describing that he was a heavy lifter on the cases, but to hear him talk he was simply supporting work done by others. One day, Tom said that a particular concern he held about making partner was that it didn’t seem like anyone regarded his work as being important or notable. He explained the evidence for his feeling, and then I asked his permission to share an observation.

I told him that when he described his own work, he minimized and understated his contribution. To hear him tell the story, he contributed little more than hours – and certainly nothing critical in terms of strategy or deep analysis. But when I asked specifically and pressed, he’d tell me about tasks he’d done and decisions he’d made that were quite high-level. My assessment was that because he was so careful not to overstate his contribution – and perhaps so uncomfortable being in the spotlight – he didn’t give a fair opportunity for someone to understand the kind and level of work that he was doing.

We devised a plan for Tom to share more about his work, and he discovered that when he changed his communication style and became more open about what he was doing, people began to appreciate the scope of his work and to understand what he was capable of doing. He got more and better work, and he felt that others’ perception of him was more accurate.

Michelle, another client, was upset to receive a review that indicated that some clients didn’t want to talk with her because they felt that she didn’t have a sufficient grasp of the right legal strategy to accomplish their aims. When pressed for details, a reluctant partner admitted that although he knew Michelle understood exactly what was at stake and how to advance the clients’ interests, her comments were so often peppered with words like maybe and possibly and her inflection was so often questioning that she just didn’t seem to be sure of what she was saying. The result was that her communications undermined his confidence in her even though he knew she was almost invariably right about what she was saying. After making a concerted effort to notice the habits that the partner identified, Michelle started speaking with more authority and more clarity, which over time (and along with other changes that Michelle implemented) increased the confidence that others put in what Michelle said.

How do you know if your presence isn’t as strong as it should be?

Here are three common signs:

You create “wiggle room” with your word choice or with your vocal inflection.
You feel the urge to speak up or to ask a question but you stop short – and then someone says what you’ve been thinking, and you feel frustrated.  (Or you do speak up but your comments aren’t much noted, and then someone says effectively the same thing and gets more attention.)
You find that you generally speak much less often than others in a meeting.  (But this can be a sign of strong presence if, when you speak, others give significant weight to your comments.)
